Day 1 – Arrival in Rovaniemi & Arctic Welcome

Welcome on board with JainVoyagers Group! Upon arrival at Rovaniemi Airport in Finnish Lapland, you’ll be met by your private transfer and taken to your winter lodge or cosy Arctic hotel. After check-in, take a gentle walk in the snowy surroundings or along nearby forest paths to stretch your legs from travel and breathe in the crisp Arctic air. In the evening, gather for a warm, traditional Nordic dinner and a welcome briefing where your guide outlines the week’s experiences — from snow and ice exploration to Aurora hunts and dog-sled activities — helping you get into the spirit of Lapland’s winter magic.

Day 2 – Snow and Ice Immersion Experience

After breakfast, begin your Arctic adventure with a full-day snow and ice immersion experience. Head out to a scenic frozen lake or ice park where you’ll learn about ice formation, icy landscapes and winter safety. Participate in ice sculpting or snow-shoe hikes across the snow-covered terrain, gaining hands-on experience with local tools and techniques. Return to your lodge in the afternoon for tea and relaxation, and enjoy optional sauna time before dinner.

Day 3 – Husky Safari Through Arctic Forests

Today’s highlight is a classic Lapland adventure: a husky safari. Meet a team of energetic sled dogs at a local husky farm, hear stories about their training, and then enjoy a thrilling ride through snowy pine forests and over frozen fields. The experience combines excitement with scenic beauty, and warm drinks around a campfire afterward bring a cosy touch. Return to your hotel for a relaxed evening meal and free time to rest.

Day 4 – Ice Fishing & Snow Trail Exploration

After breakfast, head for a guided ice fishing session on a pristine frozen lake. With local guides, drill a hole through the thick ice and enjoy the calm of the Arctic wilderness as you wait for a catch. This traditional winter pastime offers a unique way to connect with the environment and local culture. In the afternoon, set out on guided snow trail exploration, discovering hidden forest tracks and learning about Lapland’s flora and fauna under snow. Return in the evening for dinner and rest.

Day 5 – Reindeer Sleigh Ride & Sámi Culture

Following breakfast, enjoy a gentle reindeer sleigh ride with experienced local hosts. The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure with options for optional activities or lodge relaxation. Tonight you may venture out again for Northern Lights viewing if conditions are favourable.

Day 6 – Snowmobile Safari & Ice Spa (Optional)

After breakfast, embark on an optional snowmobile safari (drivers must be over the local legal age) or a guided winter snowcat ride for those who prefer a gentler experience. This high-energy morning lets you explore remote Arctic landscapes and frozen wilderness. In the afternoon, return to your lodge for rest or indulge in an optional ice spa/thermal bathing session — a rejuvenating contrast to the day’s excitement. Enjoy a final dinner together and share stories from your Arctic discoveries.

Day 7 – Northern Lights Finale & Departure

Enjoy a final breakfast in Lapland before check-out and your private transfer to Rovaniemi Airport for your departure. Before leaving, take one last moment to savour the snowy horizons and Arctic atmosphere. If your flight schedule allows, chance a final Aurora Borealis outing or a short scenic walk to imprint your Arctic memories before departure.
