Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Rovaniemi & Arctic Welcome

Welcome on board with JainVoyagers Group! Upon arrival at Rovaniemi Airport in Finnish Lapland, you and your travel companions are met by your private transfer and taken to your winter lodge or boutique hotel. After check-in, enjoy a gentle walk in the snowy surroundings to stretch your Arctic legs, followed by a warm welcome briefing with your host about the week’s experiences—ice explorations, aurora hunts, and guided winter activities. Settle into your cosy accommodation and enjoy a hearty dinner that introduces you to authentic Nordic winter flavours.

Day 2 – Ice Experience & Guided Snow Trails

After breakfast, begin your Arctic exploration with an immersive ice experience. Depending on conditions, this could include a visit to a **snow or ice hotel**, an ice sculpture workshop, or a guided adventure on a frozen lake where you’ll learn about ice formation and winter survival techniques. In the afternoon, take a guided snow trail walk through the silent white forests — ideal for spotting animal tracks and experiencing Lapland’s pristine nature up close. Return to your lodge for dinner and optional evening relaxation in the sauna.

Day 3 – Husky Safari & Aurora Briefing

Rise to a winter breakfast before heading out for a family-friendly husky safari. Meet a team of eager sled dogs, learn about their care and training, and enjoy a thrilling ride through forests and across frozen landscapes. After returning for a warm lunch, spend a relaxed afternoon at your lodge before a dedicated **Northern Lights briefing** in the early evening. Your guide will share tips on aurora viewing, camera settings and best outdoor practices. As night falls, embark on your first guided Aurora hunt with warm drinks and winter gear provided, seeking the mesmerising lights dancing across the Arctic sky.

Day 4 – Ice Fishing & Local Culture

After breakfast, set out for an authentic **ice fishing experience** on a frozen lake. With guidance from local experts, drill a hole in thick ice, set up your fishing line, and enjoy hot drinks as you wait for a catch. Learn local stories about fishing traditions and winter life while surrounded by silence and snow. In the afternoon, visit a nearby village or cultural centre to learn about Sámi traditions, Lapland crafts, and Arctic wildlife before returning to the lodge for dinner. In the evening, another chance to head out for Aurora viewing if skies are clear.

Day 5 – Snowmobile Safari & Optional Ice Spa

Following breakfast, get ready for an exhilarating snowmobile safari across Arctic landscapes (adults/drivers) with options for passengers or safe family-friendly snowcat experiences. This high-energy outing lets you explore more remote winter scenery and enjoy unforgettable views. Afterward, return to your lodge for rest and, if available, indulge in an optional **ice spa or thermal pool session** — a perfect way to unwind after an active morning. In the evening, enjoy a relaxed dinner back at the lodge.

Day 6 – Free Arctic Day & Northern Lights Finale

Today is a flexible day to revisit your favourite activity or try something new — perhaps snowshoeing deeper into the forest, visiting a reindeer farm, or experiencing an ice kart ride. Use the afternoon for leisure or souvenir shopping in Rovaniemi town. As night falls, gather for a final **Northern Lights adventure** with a local guide who will take you to secret observation spots known for minimal light pollution and maximal aurora chances. Toast with warm drinks under the Arctic sky, enjoying your last night in Lapland.

Day 7 – Departure from Rovaniemi

After breakfast and hotel check-out, your private transfer takes you to Rovaniemi Airport for your onward journey. Depart with cherished memories of icy landscapes, Aurora Borealis moments, Arctic activities and the peaceful beauty of Finnish Lapland. Thanks for travelling with JainVoyagers Group — we look forward to your next adventure!
